SHAMOKIN -- Police used an informant to set up a drug bust that led to the arrest of four men.
The operation played out at two locations in the downtown Friday afternoon and involved the use of police money to purchase ecstasy.
Arrested were Luis Michael Butler, 20, Lebanon; Jonathan L. Cerezo, 23, Shenandoah; Rafael Mateo, 21, Shenandoah, and Yimy Espinal-Plasencia, 19, West Reading.
The four were arraigned at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III late Friday night.
Butler and Cerezo each face felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy.

Both Butler and Cerezo are incarcerated in Northumberland County Prison on $10,000 bail each, while Mateo and Espinal-Plasencia have been released on $5,000 unsecured bail each.

CHEYENNE - Jacob Gruver, a 2006 graduate of Cheyenne East, was a double winner for the Chadron State College track and field team at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Meet in Golden, Colo., last weekend.
Gruver won the 60-meter dash in 6.91 seconds and the 200 in 22.72. Gruver's wins were particularly impressive because he missed the entire 2009 season because of a torn ACL in his knee.
The victories helped the Eagles place second in the men's team standings. The Chadron State men had never finished higher than third previously.
Weigner finishes second at world snowshoe event
CHEYENNE - Brent Weigner, a McCormick Junior High teacher and coach, placed second in the men's 60-69 age division at the World Snowshoe Championships last Saturday in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Weigner was the only U.S. man to stand on the awards podium with a top-three finish in his division. Three U.S. women also earned the honor.
On March 6, Weigner will compete at the United States National Snowshoe Championships in Highland Forest Park near Syracuse, N.Y. He finished second in that event last year in Oregon.
Capitals host state tournament this weekend
