Police appeal over whipping ma
POLICE are appealing for help after a badly beaten man was found with mysterious whiplike cut marks all over his back.
The 27-year-old victim was discovered lying on a bench near the Swansea Sainsbury's store early in the morning.
Despite the cold weather, he was dressed in just a white shirt, black trousers and black shoes -- suggesting he had been out for the night -- but his back rolex replica was covered in lacerations. He also had a broken finger.
Wounds It is not clear how the wounds were inflicted on the man, but police believe he came by his injuries in the New Cut Road area of the city, possibly in a tunnel which leads under the railway tracks towards the Land Registry Building on High Street.
The victim told police he is unable to identify his assailants.
Officers are hoping Post readers will be able to provide vital clues to help solve the bizarre incident.
Detective Constable Nicky Billingham said: "When this incident occurred, the weather was very cold and clothing the victim was wearing would have made him stand out.

The victim was taken to Morriston Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The assault happened at around 4.30am on Friday, December 5, but details have only just been released by police.
It is understood officers have been pursuing a number of lines of inquiry about what was happening in the area of the New Cut tunnel at the time of the assault, but they have so far drawn a blank.
Now they have turned to Post readers in the hope someone on their way to or from work in the early hours of the morning -- or late night revellers -- may be able to provide new information.
