Going Up
Byline: CLAIRE COLEMAN
POSH 'N' BECKS
THAT really sexy photo shoot for W magazine, her 'don't want to watch it butcan't not' fly-on-the-wall TV documentary, him looking like a Subbuteo playerin his new strip. We can't help it, but all of a sudden this week we'rethinking they've got a kind of cool thing going on again.
DOM PERIGNON
NOT that champagne ever goes out of fashion, but for a while this old favouritehas been eclipsed by flashy young upstarts such as Cristal. Now, however, it'sdefinitely back on the radar with a stunning new ad campaign fronted by ClaudiaSchiffer and shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Bottoms up, indeed.
ST MICHAEL'S, MARYLAND
FORGET Malibu, this little bit of coastline near Washington is set to see acelebrity influx after vicepresident Dick Cheney bought a holiday home andimposed a no-fly zone on the area. Michael Jackson, Julia Roberts and OprahWinfrey are among the stars said to be scouting for homes away from the glareof paparazzi helicopters.
SHIMMERING EYELINER CAMERON DIAZ and Eva Longoria are both working the shimmeryeyeliner look. It's more modern than solid colour and more grown-up thanglitter. We love the Prescriptives Moonbeam range (pictured right) or UrbanDecay's 24/7 Glide On Pencils. Shimmy on down.
HELENA BONHAM CARTER'S STYLIST
Replica SeikoDID anyone see what Helena BC (left) was wearing to the Harry Potter premiere? She looked as if she was auditioning for Fake Hublot Watches the role of Titania in A MidsummerNight's Dream. Now, we're all for a bit of originality, but when your hairlooks as if it's been dragged through a hedge backwards, it might be time toconform, ever so slightly.
HELLRAISERS
COULD it be that the era of the wild child is on the wane? Some of Hollywood'smost prolific party girls are hanging up their gladrags in favour of a moresober existence. Lindsay's off the booze, Paris is behaving (temporarily) andChristina and Nicole are up the duff. Ah well, there's always Britney.
IBIZA
FIRST, police clamped down on drugfuelled nightlife on the party island, leading to the temporary closure of a number of clubs. Now, to compoundmatters, two of the beaches have been closed due to an oil slick. Sounds as ifthe White Island could do with a good wash.
NIKE TRAINERS
ACCORDING to a recent report, six out of ten footprints at scenes of crime aremade by shoes from the U.S. sportswear giant. Clearly some of their customersare taking the slogan 'Just Do It' a little too seriously. Watch out for nextyear's special edition trainers, complete with matching swag bag.
