Fossil history rewritten

The China fossils are changing the look of the prehistoric landscape.

* Because of China, scientists now know that if the movie Jurassic Park were remade today, the ravenous velociraptors that had starring roles would now have feathers.

* Thousands of eggs have been discovered, along with fossils of adults nesting with their young.

Among some other recent Chinese finds:

* An 8-metre-long, bird-like gigantoraptor, a Fendi Replica Handbags creature that would have weighed in at 1300 kilograms and looked like a cross between a hawk and a young Tyrannosaurus rex.

* A lake-living mammal, the most primitive animal ever discovered with fur, 164 million years old, that had a beaver-like tail, teeth like a seal and ate fish.

* In October, a 65-million-year-old cousin of the T rex, with eight horns bursting from his skull and cheeks, was found in the Gobi desert.

* A few weeks later, scientists found the second-smallest dinosaur ever discovered - 150 million years old and about the size of a squirrel.

* Last month, scientists announced the discovery of a new hadrosaur, a long, duck- billed dinosaur.
