SEFTON Trading Standards is warning residents to watch out for vehicle matching scams.
Scammers are cold-calling people who have placed advertisements in papers, magazines or on the web to sell a vehicle with promises of buyers as long as an up-front fee is paid, up to pounds 100.

Last year more than 1,600 people complained to Consumer Direct about the practice, with some coming from Sefton residents.
