Awards for finest food

FOODIES in the Huddersfield area are lucky to have two-award-winning restaurants to try out.
Lindley's Vanilla and Stainland's 1885 restaurant have received awards from Yorkshire Life magazine.
Vanilla, in Lidget Street, has been named Newcomer of the Year.
U-Boat Replica WatchJudges said it was "one to watch in years to come for its good cooking and fine service".
It serves modern British food and is owned by Christopher Dunn.
He is also a chef, along with Andrew Sharp and Alex Knott.
The restaurant, which opened 18 months ago, has also just won an entry in the 2006 Which? Good Food Guide.
Stainland's 1885 is a family-run concern, with mum Julia Evans as front of house Dimmable LED Down Light K1018 2x3x1W / 2x3x3W and sons Nathan and Matthew as chefs. It has won the Neighbourhood Restaurant of the Year prize.
The judges praised it for having "always a warm welcome, excellent good and good service."
The restaurant has been open for five years and serves English food.
