Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical Carousel will be performed at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, tonight and tomorrow.

The story of two young lovers includes famous musical numbers such as The Carousel Waltz, If I Loved You and June is Bustin' Out All Over.

The show was awarded Best Musical of its Century in 1999 by Time Magazine.

Award-winning director Lindsay Posner brings together popular soprano Lesley Garrett as Nettie, Jeremiah James as smooth-talking carousel barker Billy Bigelow and Alexandra Silber as his lover, Julie Jordan.

With professional dancing, choreography, costume design, lighting, sound and musical direction, the theatre production is one to watch this year.
