ALAMO -- A group of the Alamo Women's Club aimed at helping the less fortunate is collecting donations in early November.
LED Street Light LU04-112WTogether We Give, started by San Ramon Valley High School junior Amy Corstorphine and friends, is asking the public to drop off items from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Alamo Women's Club, 1401 Danville Blvd.
They are looking for canned and boxed food for the Food Bank of Contra t8 led fluorescent tube Costa and Solano; professional accessories such as shoes, scarves, handbags and jewelry for Wardrobe for Opportunity; e-waste items such as computers and televisions; pet food, cleaning supplies and blankets for the Animal Rescue Foundation; eyeglasses and hearing aids for Lions Clubs International; shoes for Soles for Souls; coats, hats, mittens for One Warm Coat; cell phones, toilet paper and paper towels
embroidered patches for Shepherd's Gate; soccer gear for FUNDaFIELD; lacrosse equipment for Lacrosse for LIFE; diapers and books for the Family Stress Center and VESTIA; new and gently used school and office supplies as well as small "prizes" such as trinkets and costume jewelry for students at Peres Elementary in Richmond.
